Before you figure out the entire game is silly, you’ll get a few good hours of play in. Similar to these games: The Witcher 3 (Combat), Tomb Raider (Puzzles), Horizon: Zero Dawn (Strong female protagonist in an open world) Players who may like this: Fans of shallow action/adventure, combat mechanics junkies Unless you’re desperate and this game has a deep discount, skip it. The game has the air of something the developers thought about for years, plotted, storyboarded, defined characters, and then slapped the actual product together in about two months. Even the graphics could be great with just a bit more optimization and care. The story itself takes what should be interesting lore and makes it dull and shallow, and then fails to explore it enough to make it matter either way. The open world is entirely unpopulated and uninteresting. This is made all the worse by the protagonist’s penchant for cursing profanity done well is priceless ambiance but here it just serves to illuminate the mediocrity of the entire affair. The dialogue is cheesy from writing to acting– something you’d expect out of a made-for-tv movie. Execution is the issue for each of the pillars of this game. It’s clear that someone gave the concepts a lot of thought before attempting an execution of those ideals. The game has a solid foundation of ideas.
